Summary:

PD2501 - A/U bureau put electricity tester was made by German PD company, the company specialized in electric power equipment research and development and manufacture of partial discharge detection equipment, including GIS partial discharge test equipment/GIL, transformer partial discharge test test equipment, generator partial discharge test equipment and cable partial discharge test equipment and so on. 

GIS because of its small size and high reliability is widely used, but there are also because of free particles, insulation fault happens in the insulator and the defect is accompanied by partial discharge occurs, thus partial discharge detection is one of the effective methods of electric power equipment insulation condition diagnosis.

The AIA Compact partial discharge tester is mainly used in GIS, GIL partial discharge test. The device is a portable testing equipment, can also be applied to the transformer, the partial discharge measurement of cable accessories.

For the diagnosis of some defect, such as aerosols, ultrasonic testing is much better than the usual electrical test of the particulate matter in the newly installed or after overhaul of the GIS, can lead to flash flipping or breakdown. This equipment can also be connected ultra-high frequency (UHF) sensors, frequency band width: 300 MHZ to 2 GHZ. The device can automatically identify types of sensors, automatic conversion between different types of sensors.

UHF UHF method is measuring technique developed in recent years, it adopts the measurement within the GIS insulation hidden dangers in operating voltage under the radiation of electromagnetic wave to determine whether GIS internal partial discharge, UHF frequency method, the biggest advantage is can effectively restrain background noise, such as corona produce electromagnetic interference. UHF signal frequency is high, strong penetrability, after the insulator, can through the insulator with metal flange joint external arrived in GIS, and therefore can be on the outside of the basin insulator measuring UHF signal within the GIS.
